Based on a true story. This film almost starts like a comedy although as the film progresses it gets darker and heavier. Fantastic performance as always from Al Pacino. Much of the film’s dialogue is improvised. The airport that was used is the John F. Kennedy airport, the production were only allowed one night to film their scenes. Some of the themes that are present are desperation, media sensationalism and disillusionment with society. At the Academy Awards in 1976 this won 1 Oscar Award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay. At the Bafta Awards in 1976 this won 2 Awards. They were for Best Actor (Al Pacino) and for Best Film Editing.
