My favourite serious directors are Hitchcock, Scorsese and Ridley Scott.

My favourite actors are Leonardo DiCaprio, Ian McKellen and Toby Jones.

My actresses: 

My favourite actresses are Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, Emily Blunt and Margot Robbie .

My cinemas:

My favourite cinemas are The Electric Cinema in Birmingham (Britain’s oldest working cinema), The Rex in Berkhamsted and of course The Phoenix in East Finchley.

My film critics:

My favourite film critics are Mark Kermode (The Observer) and Peter Bradshaw (The Guardian).

And finally…

In 2012 legendary film critic Barry Norman produced his personal list of the top 101 films. Every one of these films has been reviewed on this film blog.
