Lady Chatterley’s Lover

LADY CHATTERLEY’S LOVER

Review: Lady Chatterley is an unhappily married aristocrat who begins an intense affair with gamekeeper Oliver Mellors who works on her estate.
Director: Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre
Actors: Emma Corrin, Jack O’Connell, Matthew Duckett, Joely Richardson, Faye Marsay, Ella Hunt, Anthony Brophy, Eugene O’Hare, Nicholas Bishop, Sandra Huggett, Ellie Piercy and Marianne McIvor
Year: 2022
Genre: Drama and Romance
Conclusion: 3/5
Based on the famous novel by DH Lawrence. I thought that Jack O’Connell gave a fantastic performance. I also thought that there was too much nudity and sex which for me spoilt the film. Just some of the themes this concentrates on are society and class, isolation, wealth and youth. This story also shows the effect of the First World War.
