Year: 2019
Genre: Comedy and Drama
Conclusion: 2/5
I have to say how disappointed I was with this film. I love Emma Thompson but even she couldn’t save the film. She tried her best but the film couldn’t have got made without her. I thought that the script could have been worked on a lot more. I wanted more sharpness to the film. I felt it never really stuck together. It was a bit too all over the place. I thought I would find myself laughing at the jokes and the dialogue a lot more. The film started off promising with good jokes etc but felt about two thirds into the film the jokes started to run dry. I think also the main problem was that I wasn’t convinced and I didn’t care about any of the characters.
