AGAINST THE ICE

Director: Peter Flinth
Actors: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Joe Cole, Heida Reed, Charles Dance, Lin Gallagher, Nick Jameson, Arni Larusson, Diarmaid Murtagh, Sam Redford, Ed Speleers and Frankie Wilson
Year: 2022
Genre: Adventure, Drama and History
Conclusion: 2/5
Based on a true story which I knew nothing about. As well as Nikolaj Coster-Waldau being the lead actor in this he also wrote the script. I always enjoy seeing Charles Dance on the screen although he wasn’t in it for long. I also enjoyed seeing Heida Reed although was disappointed at how little she was in it in total. Apparently, this is the first Netflix original film from Iceland. The CG polar bear was quite well done. Since watching this I have wondered what the film would be like if some of it was subtitled and in its own language. Watching this I did need to wrap up in a blanket as it is two hours of two men trudging through ice!!
