Year: 2007
Genre: Comedy and Drama
Conclusion: 4/5
One thing I enjoyed about this film is that it takes up a more grown up approach on dealing with the subject of a teenage pregnancy.  I have to say that this is the best film that has been made in 2007. Ellen Page is fantastic in this. She plays her role very convincingly. The first film I watched with her in was in X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). Also a terrific performance from Michael Cera and the rest of the supporting cast. I thought that the script was very well written by Diablo Cody who at the time got criticised by all the press for writing such a script. At the Academy Awards in 2008 this won one Oscar award for Best Writing, Original Screenplay (Diablo Cody). At the Bafta Awards in 2008 this won one award for Best Screenplay – Original (Diablo Cody).
