War Dogs

WAR DOGS

Review: This is based on a true story based on two guys named David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli in their early 20’s. They win a 300 million dollar deal to arm the Afghan Military. This puts them in business with some very shady people, one which turns out to be the U.S. Government.
Director: Todd Phillips
Actors: Jonah Hill, Miles Teller, Steve Lantz and Bradley Cooper
Year: 2016
Genre: Comedy, Crime and Drama
Conclusion: 3/5
Directed by the same director who worked on all The Hangover films. Great to see him do something completely different. One thing I did find funny in this was the little cameo by Bradley Cooper. Jonah Hill is terrific in this and other films he has been in is Django Unchained, 2012. The script is very well written by Todd Phillips. The real David Packouz has a little cameo in this and we see him singing in the Hilldale Retirement home. Apparently the real Efraim Diveroli declined to meet up with Jonah Hill. Efraim Diveroli in 2016, filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., director Todd Phillips, producer Bradley Cooper, and others, seeking to block the release of this film.
