Maggie’s Plan

MAGGIE’S PLAN

Review: Maggie desperately wants a baby, she will have to raise it by herself. She starts to get romantically involved with John who is a professor. Things start to get complicated as he is a married man and also because Maggie’s plans may collapse.
Director: Rebecca Miller
Actors: Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke, Julianne Moore and Maya Rudolph
Year: 2015
Genre: Comedy, Drama and Romance
Conclusion: 3/5
As good as Greta Gerwig is, this isn’t her best performance or film. It is nothing like as good as Frances Ha (2012). Julianne Moore has a part in this but actually isn’t in it for much of the film. You could see in this how both Greta Gerwig and Ethan Hawke get on and you can see how much they have enjoyed making this. The language that Julianne Moore and her kids speak in is Danish. This film is based on the original story by Karen Rinaldi. It is the sort of film that Woody Allen would have written/directed. A very funny and enjoyable film to watch.
