Thor: The Dark World

Thor The Dark World
Review: Thor’s love interest gets cursed with a powerful object. He finds he has to protect it before an army and its ruthless leader get their hands on it and before it takes over the remains of the Earth.
Director: Alan Taylor
Actors: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Natalie Portman
Year: 2013
Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy and Sci-Fi
Conclusion: 3/5
Second Thor film. This is back but with a different director who has done a fantastic job. The visual effects were great. I loved the Greenwich set piece. Thought that was amazing. I did feel that Tom Hiddleston put more effort in than Chris Hemsworth. I believed more in Tom Hiddleston character. This is the last film written by Don Payne. He died from bone cancer just before the film was released. This is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film that was not set in the United States. Mads Mikkelsen was considered for a role but had to drop out. Kenneth Branagh turned down directing this film but then went on to direct Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit instead.
