Review: This follows the story of a young guy named Jack Ryan. The story leads us through all his jobs starting with him uncovering a financial terrorist plot. Then 9/11 and his tour of duty in Afghanistan, then to the Financial Intelligence Unit to the CIA where he becomes an analyst. After that he becomes a spy and finds that he has to save himself and others around him. The most important thing to him is his girlfriend.

Well directed by Kenneth Branagh. Lots of tension involved in this film. Will have you sitting on the edge of your seat all the way through. It was all so very believable. There have been 5 adaptations of Jack Ryan. The actors that have played a part in playing him are Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford (apparently twice), Ben Affleck and now Chris Pine. Based on a book by Tom Clancy. This is his last film as a writer before his death on October 1st 2013. In Kenneth Branagh’s acting career he has played British, German, Australian, Swedish, Danish and American characters. This his is first time playing a character who is Russian.
