The Lion King

Review: The story is about a young cub’s journey to adulthood and acceptance of his royal destiny.
Director: Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff
Actors: Jeremy Irons and Rowan Atkinson
Year: 1994
Genre: Animation, Adventure, Drama and Family
Conclusion: 5/5
One of my all time favourite films. The title of this film was originally going to be called “King of the Jungle”. The plot-line is loosely based upon William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. This movie still holds the record for being the highest grossing traditionally animated film in history. In 1995 it won 2 Oscars. They were both for Best Music Original Score and Original Song. They both won at the Golden Globes Awards as well as Best Motion Picture.
