This isn’t the only film that has concentrated on, or been about, D-Day. The other most famous and most recent film is Saving Private Ryan (1998). Although this is a bit different as it tells the story about the meteorologists which has not been told before. I would have liked more of an explanation on all the weather charts etc. Directed by Anthony Maras whose last project was Hotel Mumbai (2018). I don’t think they could have done the film without Andrew Scott who was amazing and carried the whole film. I also thought that Kerry Condon did a terrific job. The only actor I was a bit disappointed with was Damian Lewis and I originally thought he would have a much bigger part to play in the film. I am sure he did the best he could with the script he was given. The title “Pressure” can mean two things, one the decisions that the characters have to make and secondly the atmospheric/weather pressure. Apparently, there are some historical inaccuracies, although I have to say that I have just accepted the film and not worried too much about it. I was gripped all the way through and I found it to be a very tense film.
