I just want to start off by saying how interested I was in watching this film as I have been on pilgrimage to Lourdes 10 times. A very interesting little film. Great performances from all three main actors (Maggie, Laura and Kathy). Maggie Smith’s comedic timing is just brilliant. Sad to think that this is Maggie Smith’s final film. I have included Brenda Fricker amongst the cast list, she is never actually seen in this film but is heard. Some of the themes this touches on are community, friendship, forgiveness, redemption and faith.
