Conclusion: 3/5
This film has got a touch of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004). It also reminded me a bit of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) especially the cover of the titled film. I think it is a very brave film and has loads of ambition. However, for me I felt that the whole story didn’t work. I don’t know whether it was the story or the casting of Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie. I felt there was no chemistry between them. Both are very good actors. I very much enjoyed the musical score by Joe Hisaishi. I was surprised at how much strong language there was.
