Director: Julia Ducournau
Actors: Garance Marillier, Ella Rumpf, Rabah Nait Oufella, Laurent Lucas, Joana Preiss, Bouli Lanners, Thomas Mustin, Jean-Louis Sbille, Virgil Leclaire, Sophie Breyer and Berangere Mc Neese
Year: 2016
Genre: Drama and Horror
Conclusion: 4/5
Apparently, when this film was being played and shown in the cinemas there were people in the screens fainting and vomiting. This is the first feature film directed by Julia Ducournau. I loved all the performances. This film is about the desire to fit in and also to be recognized. Mark Kermode quotes “that you could see this as a coming of age film or an ancient tragedy”.
