I enjoyed this much more than the first Downton Abbey film (2019). I thought that the whole plot and storyline was really well thought out. When watching this film, you should have a pretty good idea about what to expect. I have to say that I thought that the weakest link in this was Tuppence Middleton. Whether that was the director’s fault I don’t know. Fantastic performances from the rest of the ensemble cast. While filming some of the movie Laura Carmichael was pregnant. In March 2021 she gave birth to a baby boy with Michael Fox who plays Andy. It is a fantastic film to watch on a Friday night and you will not be disappointed. I was entertained all the way through this film. Visually the film is beautifully produced. It is worth watching this film just for Maggie Smith’s one liners!!!
