DEATH ON THE NILE

Review: Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot is on vacation on the Nile and is forced to investigate the murder of a young heiress.
Director: Kenneth Branagh
Actors: Kenneth Branagh, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Michael Rouse, Orlando Seale, James Schofield, George Jaques, Jonah Rzeskiewicz, Eleanor de Rohan, Susannah Fielding, Adam Garcia and Rick Warden
Year: 2022
Genre: Crime, Drama and Mystery
Conclusion: 2/5
This was shot two years ago but delayed due to the pandemic. I do think it is a shame that it has been released so close to Belfast (2021). There is an all-star cast including Annette Bening and Russell Brand. There is some lovely cinematography in this but then I found that all the C.G. sort of spoiled it. There was almost too much. I felt that the acting was very wooden and the script was rather flat. All the way through I never felt gripped or carried away by the story.
