GoldenEye

GOLDENEYE

Review: When a powerful satellite system falls into the hands of Alec Trevelyan, a former friend and fellow 006 agent. It is James Bond’s mission to stop them from using the space weapon as it could destroy the earth.
Director: Martin Campbell
Actors: Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Izabella Scorupco, Famke Janssen, Joe Don Baker, Judi Dench, Robbie Coltrane, Tcheky Karyo, Gottfried John, Alan Cumming, Desmond Llewelyn, Samantha Bond, Michael Kitchen, Simon Kunz, Pavel Douglas and Billy J. Mitchell
Year: 1995
Genre: Action, Adventure and Thriller
Conclusion: 4/5
This is the 17th James Bond adventure. GoldenEye is the first completely original James Bond movie, meaning there is no reference to any Ian Fleming novel for short story. This has one of the best opening scenes in a James Bond film. Introducing Pierce Brosnan as James Bond (I have to say he is my favourite Bond!). Also introducing Judi Dench as M. I think that Pierce Brosnan and Judi Dench make a great team and you can see how much they get on and enjoy each other’s company. Apparently, in the script, M’s real name is Barbara Mawdsley. I really enjoyed seeing Sean Bean who apparently previously auditioned for the role of James Bond in The Living Daylights (1987). I love the chase scene in the middle of the film with the tank; apparently this took approximately 4 weeks to film. I think it is a really enjoyable chase scene to watch. This is one of my favourite Bond films.
