Based on true events. Both LaKeith Stanfield and Daniel Kaluuya give fantastic performances. Apparently, LaKeith Stanfield stated in an interview that he needed therapy after shooting this film. At the Academy Awards in 2021 this won 2 awards. They were for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Daniel Kaluuya) and Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song). At the Bafta Awards in 2021 this won for Best Supporting Actor (Daniel Kaluuya). At the Golden Globe Awards in 2021 this won for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (Daniel Kaluuya).
