Directed by the same director who created Apollo 13 (1995) and A Beautiful Mind (2001). This is based on a memoir written by J. D. Vance. At the end of the film there are photos during the credits and I was amazed and shocked at how much the actors looked just like the real family. I thought that both Amy Adams and Glenn Close give terrific performances. With them giving such terrific performances I did however feel like they were over acting and I thought they did this in order for this film to be an awards contender. The thing I was most impressed with was their make-up and hair. I enjoyed the musical score by Hans Zimmer.
