Like most films coming out at the moment this was due to have a wide release in cinemas but has just been released on Netflix. Adapted from a novel with the same title by Aravind Adiga. An excellent performance from Adarsh Gourav. I found the script to be very sharp and witty. Watching this did remind me of Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and I also thought that in the early days of Dev Patel’s career that he could have played the lead actor. It also thought it was trying too much to be like the film Parasite (2019). Just some of the themes in this film show social breakdown, corruption, morality and Indian society and also family. I have to say that I actually enjoyed this film a lot.
