Based on a novel by Mark Burnell and who also did the screenplay for this film. I have to say that I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would. It might just be me but I didn’t think that the film made much sense. I felt that they were almost trying too hard and they put too many different elements into the film to actually make it work. It was almost as though they were trying to make it into a James Bond film but I couldn’t enjoy it. For Blake Lively to train for her role she had eight months of defensive driving training, exercising, swimming and climbing. On the BBFC website on the cut information it states that “The company requested cuts to achieve a 12A classification. Cuts were made to scenes of sex and violence in accordance with BBFC Guidelines and policy. An uncut 15 classification was available.”. After noticing this on their website I also found that the BBFC replied to a member of public on Twitter about this film stating that “after the original version was classified, the company informed us they needed to make some minor adjustments to a couple of sequences. These have no bearing on the classification & we do not have details of the specifics.”
