Conclusion: 2/5
A truly awful film!! Let’s just say that the first 5-10minutes were just about passible. After that the film was real hard work. The whole film just went flat. It looked as though nobody had any real idea why they were even there. Even though James Corden has been given bad reviews for his performance, I thought he did a pretty good job. Standing in at over 2 hours was far too long. Before sitting down and watching this I had no idea that this was even a musical, so that came as a surprise to me. For me the time dragged and was waiting for it to finish which is never a good sign. I am aware that Film Critics have watched this film and have given it good reviews but for me it just didn’t work.
