Valentine’s Day

VALENTINE’S DAY

Review: A romantic comedy about a series of interconnected relationships between various couples and singles in Los Angeles on one Valentine’s Day.
Director: Garry Marshall
Actors: Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Hector Elizondo, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Carter Jenkins, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah and Taylor Lautner
Year: 2010
Genre: Comedy, Drama and Romance
Conclusion: 2/5
Directed by the same director who directed Pretty Woman (1990). It was like the director was almost trying too hard and he just failed. The main problem with this is that it wants to be Love Actually (2003). I just felt that none of the plot was held together and was all over the place. The script was non-existent and there were certainly no laughs to be had. I don’t understand how all these talented actors wanted to star and be in this film. Sandra Bullock was originally offered the role that eventually went to Julia Roberts, Bullock turned it down and starred in The Blind Side (2009) instead. I think she made the right choice. I didn’t even care about any of the characters. Have the actors not got anything better to do? Valentine’s day is bad enough without this film!!
