Now the sixth instalment of a Mission Impossible franchise. Tom Cruise has now been playing the character of Ethan Hunt since 1996. You pretty much know what to expect now with a Mission Impossible film. What staggers me is that Tom Cruise is now into his 50’s and is still jumping from roof to roof over buildings. Just when we have seen him do an amazing stunt he then does another and so on. It is hard to believe that he does all the stunts himself. How long he can keep this up I don’t know. There was a fight scene that took place in a bathroom. This was meant to be shot in four days but as it was so complicated it was shot over four weeks. It was lovely to see some filming being done in London and France. London was particularly enjoyable as you got to see buildings such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, Blackfriars Bridge, and the Tate Modern museum. Always great entertainment. This film did remind me of the Roger Moore Bond films. It is well over 2 and a half hours but the time flies, I especially didn’t feel like it dragged in any scenes or felt overlong. It is actually the longest Mission Impossible film yet.
