Conclusion: 4/5
Based on the book “Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson. I really enjoyed this and thought it was a solid piece of drama which was well acted. A very good cast list with the likes of Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson. I think that this is Jamie Foxx’s best performance in about 19 years. Even though this is a long film I didn’t feel like the time dragged at all. I thought that the script writing was brilliant. It held my attention all the way through. I can’t quite believe how this wasn’t even chosen for any Academy Awards and has been completely left out.
