Conclusion: 2/5
The Mortal Instruments is a series of six fantasy novels which were written by Cassandra Clare. I have to say that I have not read a single novel of hers or the novel that this film is based on. I had no expectations for this film. However, I have to say that I did find it too much like The Twilight Saga (2010). Also very like The Hunger Games (2012). I also found the length of this film far too long as it stood in at 2 hours 10 minutes which it really didn’t need to be. There were times in it especially half way through where I got really bored. I didn’t care about any of the characters which doesn’t help. The whole plot made no sense either.
