Year: 2020
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Crime and Romance
Conclusion: 2/5
I have heard quite a few film critics etc who have enjoyed this film but I found this film just too annoying. I couldn’t cope with it at all and I couldn’t bring myself round to laugh, not even once. I just could not get into this film. This is not as good as The Big Sick (2017) in which both Kamail Nanjiani starred in and also Michael Showalter was the director in both. This is the second time that they have both teamed up. According to IMDb it states that “Paramount had originally planned to released the film theatrically on April 3, 2020, but decided to release it on Netflix due to the Coronavirus pandemic and widespread theatre closings.” I think that was the best way forward anyway for this film to go straight onto Netflix as I can’t see it getting a big audience at the cinema.
