Year: 2019
Genre: Biography and Drama
Conclusion: 4/5
Obviously in the UK, Fred Rogers is unknown to us and his name doesn’t really have much meaning. As well as Marielle Heller directing this film she has also directed the film Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018). As always Tom Hanks gives a good performance. The widow of Fred Rodgers, Joanne Rogers, has stated that Tom Hanks is the perfect actor to play her late husband. I also enjoyed Matthew Rhys’s performance. Both Matthew Rhys and Tom Hanks both starred together in The Post (2017). A very uplifting and touching film.
