Year: 2018
Genre: Comedy, Drama and Romance
Conclusion: 2/5
This is a film adaption of the classic play called The Seagull by Anton Chekhov. This is the second film that Saoirse Ronan and Billy Howle have starred in, the other being On Chesil Beach, 2017. Great performances by Billy Howle, Saoirse Ronan and Annette Bening. I did feel after about 45 minutes into the film it didn’t really know where to go and felt a bit on the flat side of things. Was quite a hard watch as nothing much happens. I don’t know whether all of Anton Chekhov’s plays are like that or similar. It was too bland for my liking.
