Review: Sixteen year old Heidi flees her hometown and arrives in the Australian Alps. This is after making an advance towards her mother’s boyfriend. While she flees she experiences and learns the differences between sex and love.
Director: Cate Shortland
Actors: Abbie Cornish, Sam Worthington, Lynette Curran, Damian de Montemas, Olivia Pigeot, Ben Tate, Nathaniel Dean, Paul Gleeson and Anne-Louise Lambert
Year: 2004
Genre: Drama and Romance
Conclusion: 3/5
Amazing performances by Abbie Cornish and also Sam Worthington. Since this film the actors have had major success. She has been in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) and he has been in Avatar (2009). The photography in this is very stunning. I did like the atmospheric electronic soundtrack which was done by Decoder Ring. In total this film took seven years to make.
