Conclusion: 3/5
Based on the John le Carre bestseller, this movie was released five years after the novel was published. This was in fact his fifteenth novel to be published. Not much acting involved, but Pierce Brosnan looks charming as ever. The only difference in this is that he doesn’t have any gadgets and no scruples. Jamie Lee Curtis is given little to work on here. Daniel Radcliffe stars in this which is his debut theatrical feature film. Some good character acting by Brendan Gleeson, and a competent performance from Geoffrey Rush. This is not the best John le Carre film adaptation. Even though this one is the first to be adapted into a film others since this have included Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) and The Constant Gardner (2005).
