Conclusion: 4/5
I was really worried about this film and thought it would be too over-sentimental and cliched but I actually found myself rather enjoying this and going along with it. I also thought at the start of the film that it would be too much like a Nicholas Sparks film adaptation. The script was well written by Tom Flynn. The cast were all brilliant especially the little girl who played Mary plus she had so much character that added to the story-line. I believed in each and every one of the characters and what they were all going through. The whole film seemed so true to life. It is always great to see Octavia Spencer.
