Review: Whip Whitaker, a airline pilot, crash lands his plane. He saves almost all his passengers and is hailed a hero. An investigation is carried out and questions start being asked as to what really happened on the plane and who is really at fault.
Director: Robert Zemeckis
Actors: Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle and Nadine Velazquez
Year: 2012
Genre: Drama
Conclusion: 3/5
This is definitely a film not to watch on a plane. I can’t think of anything negative to say about this. This film was inspired by a real life disaster. The director of this film is also a pilot himself. Without giving too much away you can argue both ways about Whip Whitaker. Film critic Mark Kermode raises this question ‘does Whip manage to do something miraculous despite being as high as a kite or because of it?’
