Review: Princess Merida is determined to make her own path in life. She must rely on her bravery and her archery skills. This is so she can undo a beastly curse.
Director: Mark Andrews, Brenda Chapman and Steve Purcell
Actors: Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson and Kelly Macdonald
Year: 2012
Genre: Animation and Comedy
Conclusion: 3/5
I know I shouldn’t say this but the only problem that I have with this film is that Princess Merida looks too much like Rebekah Brooks. There were times where my mind wandered. It didn’t have me gripped all the way through. It lost its plot a few times and felt like the directors didn’t really know what to do next with the film, This film took 6 years to make and Merida is the first Disney princess not to have a love interest. At the Academy Awards in 2013 this won the Best Animated Feature Film. Also at the Golden Globe Awards and at the Baftas the same year it won Best Animated Film.
