Brilliant film!!! Loved every minute of it! Just gripped all the way through. This film won 11 Oscars in 2004. They were for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Costume Design, Best Director, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup, Best Music-Original Score, Best Music-Original Song, Best Picture, Best Sound Mixing, Best Visual Effects and Best Writing-Adapted Screenplay. At the Baftas it won Best Achievement in Special Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, Best Film and Best Screenplay-Adapted. At the Golden Globes it won Best Director-Motion Picture, Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Original Score-Motion Picture and Best Original Song-Motion Picture. The word ‘Precious’ is said 17 times by Gollum. If you watch all of the trilogies in one it would take you 8 hours and 37 minutes.
