Watching this film will make you never want to go in the sea again. One of the greatest movies from Steven Spielberg. Adapted from a book by Peter Benchley. This is only Steven Spielberg’s second film he directed and he was only aged 28. The scene in which the shark is battling with the cage was shot in a tank. At the Oscars in 1976 this won 3 Academy Awards. They were for Best Film Editing, Best Music, Original Dramatic Score and for Best Sound. At the Baftas the same year it only won 1 award and that was John Williams for the Anthony Asquith Award for Film Music. John Williams also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score – Motion Picture.
