Review: Lewis Medlock takes his friends to go and see The Cahulawassee River before it is turned into a huge lake. It is an adventure they will never forget.
Director: John Boorman
Actors: Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds and Ned Beatty
Year: 1972
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama and Classics
Conclusion: 4/5
Great film!! It will have you on the edge of your seat for the whole of the film. Very grueling and tense. A lot of strong language. This film is an 18 so not suitable for kids or family. Even though this film is an 18 the BBFC still cut a lot of scenes for this. This was adapted from a novel by James Dickey. All the actors did their own stunts and had no insurance because of costs. Donald Sutherland was approached for this film but turned it down. He later regretted it. This is on Barry Norman’s list of 100 Greatest Films of all time that he produced at the start of 2012.
