Very good but there are no sympathetic characters in this film. Only suitable for people who are 18 or over. Got strong language, drug use and violent scenes in. At the Oscars it won 5 awards in 2000. They were Best Actor in a Leading Role – Kevin Spacey, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Picture and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. At the Bafta Awards it also picked up 5 awards. They were Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Film, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and also Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. Thomas Newman won an award for Anthony Asquith Award for Film Music. At the Golden Globes it got Best Director-Motion Picture, Best Motion Picture-Drama and Best Screenplay – Motion Picture. Steven Spielberg was the Executive Producer for this and personally requested Sam Mendes to direct this film.
