World War Z

WORLD WAR Z

Review: Gerry Lane works for the United Nations. His job is to stop the Zombie pandemic.
Director: Marc Forster
Actors: Brad Pitt and Mireille Enos
Year: 2013
Genre: Action, Adventure and Horror
Conclusion: 2/5
I enjoyed the first half of the film and then the second half just went so slowly for me. I kept on looking at my watch thinking when is it going to finish. It just got ridiculous with the zombies. Also that bit too long for me. Was completely unrealistic and rather tiresome. It has taken 6 years to get this film done and it has gone under 4 different script writers. The production was also held back for 6 months because of problems. If things couldn’t get any worse the budget of the film spiraled out of control. They had to cut sections of the film out that they had already filmed. The other issue I have with the film is that there isn’t anyone who know’s how to pronounce the Z. Brad Pitt has produced this film. Based on the novel by Max Brooks. This film also reminded me of the film Contagion with it being about a pandemic. I feel disappointed and feel like the film could have been something more than what it was. It has just been confirmed that there is going to be a World War Z sequel.
