The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

Review: This starts with Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark at home after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games. President Snow is now preparing for the next competition.
Director: Francis Lawrence
Actors: Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence and Toby Jones
Year: 2013
Genre: Action, Adventure and Sci-Fi
Conclusion: 4/5
Enjoyed this a lot more than the first one. This time it is Francis Lawrences’ job directing. He has done a fantastic job on this film. I have not actually read the books so I can’t compare them both. The film is very long. It is over 2 hours. Jennifer Lawrence is fantastic as always. There were some scenes that I found emotional and some others that were quite scary. Gary Ross who directed the first film declined from directing this. Francis Lawrence is directing The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and 2. Part 1 will be out next year and then the following year part 2. Already looking forward to the next one!!
