Love the hair!!!! Based on true events that happened in the 80’s. This sees us reunited with Christian Bale, Amy Adams (The Fighter) and Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings) As much as I like Jennifer Lawrence I just found that the part she played wasn’t really for her. I didn’t find her very convincing. She was good though in her performance. There are some scenes in it that didn’t need to be there. The film was too long and could have easily have been shorter. This is the first film where I have been impressed with Jeremy Renner’s acting. The song ‘Live and Let Die’ is played in the film. They had to get permission to do this by Paul McCartney. At the Golden Globes in 2014 it won 3 awards. They were for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, Amy Adams won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical and Jennifer Lawrence won an award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture. This also won 3 awards at the Baftas in 2014. They were for Jennifer Lawrence for Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay and for Make-up and hair.
