Directed by Denis Villeneuve who’s last instalment was Prisoners (2013). A very well acclaimed director who once again has done a fantastic job. It is also helped by cinematographer Roger Deakins. The musical score is composed by the late Johann Johannsson. Sicario is a film that we have seen many times being played out before and offers nothing new. Emily Blunt’s performance is amazing. She is always a joy to watch on the screen and never seems to fail. It was Denis Villeneuve who requested Emily Blunt for the lead role. Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro are both so watchable and I found I couldn’t take my eyes off them although I have to say that it is Emily Blunt who has the hardest role of the three.
