Year: 2013
Genre: Biography, Comedy and Drama
Conclusion: 3/5
I was shocked and surprised at just how strong the language was used in this film and altogether I felt it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. When the movie finished I was most disappointed. I never felt fully engaged and I never felt liked I cared for Jordan Belfort’s character. This isn’t Martin Scorsese’s finest work and I think he has made a mistake. This film is about greed, money, sex and drugs. The only positive thing I can say about this film is great performance as always from Leonardo DiCaprio and also from Jonah Hill as the supporting actor. At the Golden Globe Awards in 2014 this won for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical (Leonardo DiCaprio).
