The Hanging Sun

THE HANGING SUN

Review: John is on the run from his former employer, his father, because he betrayed a powerful crime lord, his dad. John escapes to an isolated village but grapples with a difficult past that torments him.
Director: Francesco Carrozzini
Actors: Charles Dance, Jessica Brown Findlay, Peter Mullan, Sam Spruell, Alessandro Borghi, Frederick Schmidt, Salome Gunnarsdottir, Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Anton Valensi, Raphael Vicas, Francesca Anna Bellucci, Benjamin Noble and Tommy C. Carey
Year: 2022
Genre: Crime, Drama, Mystery and Thriller
Conclusion: 2/5
A film where the story never really gets going. A real slow burn of a film. I am surprised that all the actors agreed to star in this. Based on a novel by Jo Nesbo. Even though the country of origin was Italy the filming took place in Norway. A film made for Sky Cinema.
