A very interesting story and one which I knew nothing about. Always great to see Will Smith. I thought this was a perfect role for him and I think he did most of the heavy work. His character I did find a little too much and very overpowering but I think that is very true to the story. If he wasn’t so determined then the girls would definitely not have had the incredible success they have had. Although he did carry the film and they couldn’t have done it without him all the other performances were very strong. The main messages that come out of this film is overcoming prejudice, achieving success and also family. I don’t even have any idea about the rules in tennis or have ever taken an interest in watching something like Wimbledon!! At the Bafta Film Awards in 2022 this won one award for Leading Actor (Will Smith) At the Academy Awards in 2022 this won one award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Will Smith).
