The first thing I want to say is what an amazing cast list. I have to say that I enjoyed the first hour of this and then I found I had got the idea. It didn’t really come up with new ideas or how to move forwards with the film. I found the whole film really daft. I thought that Mark Rylance was brilliant but felt he himself wasn’t comfortable with the role he was having to do. Always great to see Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. Before Leonardo DiCaprio took on the part for this film he spoke with real-life astronomer and film consultant Amy Mainzer to get a better understanding of his role. The main meaning in this film is the social spread of non-facts. Standing in at 2 Hours and 18 minutes was far too long.
