A modern day take on Groundhog Day (1993). I know this is a silly film and doesn’t make much sense but I actually really enjoyed this. Despite the title being “Palm Springs” it was actually filmed mainly in Palmdale and Santa Clarita, California. This is a first time directorial feature from Max Barbakow. Andy Samberg admitted that multiple endings were written and even shot. They decided to put on private friends and family screenings of the different versions so they could get opinions on which ending worked the best. It is alright for watching on a Friday night when there is nothing else on tv.
