Conclusion: 4/5
Great to see Awkwafina back on our screens again. The last time I saw her on screen was in Crazy Rich Asians (2018) and she also co-starred in Ocean’s Eight (2018). One thing I could totally relate to and found really interesting was the culture clashes plus how different the world is to every generation. I thought the whole film was really well directed and also well written by Lulu Wang. I liked this film as I found it really funny and charming. The themes that this film focuses on is all about loyalty, loss and love. I found this film to be really moving. At the Golden Globe Awards in 2020 this won one award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy (Awkwafina).
