Director: David Frankel
Actors: Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Adrian Grenier, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Simon Baker, Tracie Thoms, Rich Sommer, Daniel Sunjata, David Marshall Grant, James Naughton, Tibor Feldman, Rebecca Mader, Jimena Hoyos and Gisele Bundchen
Year: 2006
Genre: Comedy and Drama
Conclusion: 3/5
I actually really enjoyed this film although I am aware that it didn’t have good reviews from film critics. Based on the novel by Lauren Weisberger. Meryl Streep steals every scene in this film and has got to be one of her most precise performances. Also great performances from Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. The character of Emily was not supposed to be English in the script. Graham Norton auditioned for the part which eventually went to Stanley Tucci. This is a very predictable film and you could work out the whole synopsis before sitting down to watch. At the Golden Globe Awards in 2007 this won one award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical (Meryl Streep).
